Bootsy Collins! He draws your attention even when he doesn't do anything! I think it was 2008 when he revived the original JBs (with his brother Phelps "Catfish" oh guitar) and played a James Brown tribute concert at the North Sea Jazz Festival. It even had a singer playing the role of James Brown. The crowd, includig little old me, didn't really dig it because we missed Bootsy. He just stood in the back playing bass. But after the show, Bootsy moved center stage and with no music, just did a few of his chants: Wewant the funk... We gonna turn!this motha!out! And the crowd just ate it up! It was the highlight of the show, just Bootsy playing with and going into the audience. He didn't even need no music! Another example is Buddy Guy. Watch Shine a Light and see him reduce the Rolling Stones to HIS backup band! | |

Hmmm...who oozes CHARISMA?
I've always said that the only person who matched Prince in the charisma department was Elvis.
Gaga has none. She puts on unique clothing, but has no personality that I can see. Clothing does not equal charisma. There is a big difference in why she dresses funny and why Prince dresses funny. She is desperate for attention. Prince could care less. He probably has a bad ass suit on right now, in his bedroom, with pumps to match and doesn't care if we see it or not.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

i thought we where just talking about new artist.. in which case i would say gaga. but if we are talking about artist in general i would say Michael Jackson Prince Madonna Freddy Mercury Little Richard Liberache Mick Jagger Alice Cooper Ozzy Osbourne
