10 Years of The Roots' 'Phrenology' Any thoughts on this masterpiece? My favorite one from the hardest working band today!

man, i need to go back and DIG IN to the Roots' catalogue. I was a fan early on (Organix, Do U Want More). Proceed Pt. II feat. Bahamadia remains a high point for me with them (next would be the U Got Me single). Sadly I can't comment on Phrenology, but i've always thought Black Thought was slept on as an MC. Still love the guys, seen them a couple times before they "blew".
Why is this a fave for u? It is more cohesive, conceptual or what? I know lyrically they've always stayed away from the BS in favor of more socially conscious/political fare, which i love them for, so I'm just curious as to why this over say Things Fall Apart, Rising Down, The Tipping Point or even Undun

My favorite album from them too. I loved the whole cd pretty much. Sacrifice featuring Nelly Furtado was smooth and deep. Black Thought is one of my favorite rappers of all time. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
