This I agree with. She seemed to be very nervous too though, so maybe that is what the issue was.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I liked the entire show, with the exception of that nigga, 2 Chainz. Tony Cornelius's speech to his father was very touching and New Edition's lifetime achievement award was long overdue and their performance (despite Bobby and Ralph's vocals were off) brought the house down!!!

I enjoyed Tony Cornelius' speech as well. His voice strongly resembles his father's voice.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That she could perform looking so mighty fine is reason enough to give her a pass.

And that's why their performance was just "okay" to me. They knew full and well that Johnny Gill should had been singing lead vocals too...that is unless he was sick or something.

To me, it seemed like Johnny didn't want to even be there.

Well, if they had put Can You Stand The Rain in the set, that would be another story. It was very funny to see Bobby do the routines to If It Isn't Love. (snickering)

I saw a clip on youtube where Jamie Foxx called Barack Obama his lord and savior

he meant that in context because he said it

I ain't calling no man my lord and savior no matter who it is

he'll be recanting that statement in the very near future

this nation better get ready for what's the country has in store for us because it aint gone be pretty

that's why I'm cool on these award shows now.....it aint about the music anymore

it's very unfortunate what has happened to the body of real culture

other than acts from the golden age receiving lifetime achievement awards, there's agendas flying all over the place

That 2 Chainz nigga just brought my hyped mood down! I hate today's rap music!

the forefathers who crafted this music in the NY City burroughts during the mid 1970s, particularly in the Bronx

the forefathers warned as they were creating the masterpiece, they knew they had created something special

but...they warned if this thing called Rap was ever exploited commercially, it would be destroyed

as of 2012, there words couldn't be more prophetic....

oh yes, you're right

when hip-hop started to become commercialized in the late 80s, you could see literally how genuine black artists where phased out of the equation

even a group like EARTH, WIND, AND FIRE, stalwarts of r&b music for over 15 years, their last true studio album was "Heritage" back in 1990

what's the famous saying "be careful what u ask for because u just may get it"

well, we got it and it aint good

not only did the commercialization kill hip-hop itself, but destroyed the essence of the full spectrum of cultural expression along the way

and because of that, we get songs now such as the one you mentioned

It was a joke and no he's not recanting.

People make lord and saviour jokes all the time but now that Jamie has it's a big deal? Riiiiight.
