Me too.. I especially love All Things Must Pass and Thirty-Three and 1/3 .. I like those albums as much as, or perhaps more so than any Beatles album.

The best singer of The Beatles imo & 2nd best solo career imo Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Got some great stuff, All Things Must Pass is on par with any album by the Beatles, Living in the Material World and Cloud 9 are also pretty good albums. We're here, might as well get into it.

I've always thought it was better than many Beatles albums

Oh, and I forgot about Wonderwall Music.. that's a lesser known, but very nice instrumental album.

He's my third favorite Beatle, but All Things must Pass may just be my favorite solo Beatle album. Maybe. My Legacy

Eh, he is a bit too po-faced for me, he certainly took himself and his music very seriously. I do love "Wah-Wah."

I LOVE his Indian songs | |

it's not that I need to buy all his solo albums, but he's my fav solo Beatle
All Things Must Pass is better than any Lennon album, and he also has some cracking (and underrated singles), "Cheer Down" is better than any 80s single of Paul

I do love a lot of his solo material. All Things Must Pass is indeed amazing, although I think it would have been better without Phil Spector's production on certain tracks (which is something that even George later said, I believe).
He's written some beautiful, classic songs. * * *

He's written some beautiful, classic songs. It's definitely the best solo album by a Beatle to my ears by a country mile. I'm going to (yet again) defend Spector here. I think his production is as much the star of this album as Harrison's songs are. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Agreed, can you imagine a song like "what is life" without the orchestration?, don't think it would be nearly the song it is. Phil Spector never gets enough credit, loved his work on the Let it Be album too. We're here, might as well get into it.

Peter Tork plays on this album and Phil Collins plays congas or something on the All Things Must Pass album, but is not credited.

I love George Harrison! He did a really good job on the shanghai surprise soundtrack. His son is also very talented. Why does there have to be a soundcheck? I don't have a songcheck. You don't have a clothescheck.

I'd probably have it like this: 1. All Things Must Pass 2. Living in the Material World 3. Plastic Ono Band 4. Band on the Run (yes, not really solo, but so what) "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

1. All Things Must Pass 2. JL/POB 3. Band On The Run (Wings was basically McCartney's backing band, I don't consider them really a band on their own) 4. Living In The Material World 5. Imagine
