10 Years of The Roots' 'Phrenology'

Any thoughts on this masterpiece? My favorite one from the hardest working band today!

man, i need to go back and DIG IN to the Roots' catalogue. I was a fan early on (Organix, Do U Want More). Proceed Pt. II feat. Bahamadia remains a high point for me with them (next would be the U Got Me single). Sadly I can't comment on Phrenology, but i've always thought Black Thought was slept on as an MC. Still love the guys, seen them a couple times before they "blew".

Why is this a fave for u? It is more cohesive, conceptual or what? I know lyrically they've always stayed away from the BS in favor of more socially conscious/political fare, which i love them for, so I'm just curious as to why this over say Things Fall Apart, Rising Down, The Tipping Point or even Undun

My favorite album from them too. I loved the whole cd pretty

much. Sacrifice featuring Nelly Furtado was smooth and deep.

Black Thought is one of my favorite rappers of all time.
