How would you rate Jim Morrison as a singer?

I say average, but he was one of the best frontmen of all time.

Agreed. I dig his voice. It had this silent sexiness about it in ballads and raucous when it came to blues/uptempo numbers. I seriously think he would've done some blues and jazz music more if he had lived long enough.

Great to start with but by the time LA Woman hit it was shot, his voice is fucked on that song. But he was still great as a frontman, wouldn't want anyone else sing with the Doors. cool

His voice & dark... mysterious & charasmatic.

He may not hit incredible high notes, but he has one of the drakest/sexiest voices ever.

Pretty good. I agree with Tim, he had a good voice for the blues. A good singer makes you believe what he is singing.
