Madonna tries to shock in tasteless lingeriePosted: 1:29 PM, November 21, 2012 http://www.nypost.com/p/p...obinsource
Madonna has stirred plenty of controversy on her MDNA tour, but her newest stunt borders on a sad cry for attention. It wasn’t enough to flash her derriere or a nipple during her previous concerts this year, this time the 54-year-old exposed a region of her body that only her lady doctor should be allowed to see. On Monday in Miami, the aging Queen of Pop strutted her (albeit fabulous) body in a tight black bustier, fishnet tights and bottoms that could only be described as an intentional wardrobe malfunction. See the pic for yourself, though we warn it might be a tad NSFW. Splash News
Enough is enough. Madge, put on some pants.

wisdom is when a senior citizen becomes aware that it's time to stop driving due to the aging factor. wisdom is when a sexy woman realizes it's time to accept the body image should tone down gracefully and modestly due to the aging factor.
madonna i luv you honey, but c'mon now! seriously though: [i'm hoping madonna was not aware of the wardrobe malfunction here.] [Edited 11/24/12 13:53pm] “Transracial is a term that has long since been defined as the adoption of a child that is of a different race than the adoptive parents,” : https://thinkprogress.org...fb6e18544a

The latest rumor around Madonna forums is she is doing a cover of a Marvin Gaye song for some upcoming project perhaps with Lenny Kravitz. I always thought Madonna and Lenny made a great combination!

Madonna claims the No. 1 ranking on the weekly tally of Hot Tours for the fifth time since the launch of her blockbuster MDNA Tour that has been playing concert venues in Europe and North America since the end of May. Ticket revenue reported during the past week surpasses the $60 million mark from performances that occurred during October and November in 18 U.S. cities. With two-show runs at venues in Seattle, San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, St. Paul and New York City, the overall attendance count from six weeks of concerts totals 336,386.
With $233 million already logged from 74 shows and a string of stadium performances scheduled in South American cities through December 22, the MDNA Tour is on track to potentially rank among the 10 top-grossing tours of all time. Madonna¹s top-grossing tour so far is Sticky & Sweet Tour (2008-2009) that generated more than $407 million in ticket sales and ranks fourth all-time on the Boxscore tally.
Barclays Center, the new 19,000-seat arena in Brooklyn, New York has reported concert gross and attendance counts from its first two months of operation including a mammoth $9.3 million gross from Barbra Streisand¹s Back to Brooklyn Tour that played to sellout crowds on October 11 and 13. The legendary entertainer and Brooklyn-native earns this week¹s No. 2 Hot Tours ranking with revenue totals reported from the two-show stint in her hometown.
Also ranking among this week¹s top 10 tours at No. 3 is Jay-Z, another Brooklyn-born superstar, who played the inaugural concert in the new facility on September 28. He performed a total of eight sold out shows in Barclays Center through October 6, grossing $7.3 million from 121,058 sold tickets. Additional artists to play the new venue include gospel music¹s Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin and Israel Houghton with the King¹s Men Tour on October 14, veteran rock band Rush with a concert on October 22, a two-night dance music event dubbed Sensation on October 26-27 and a sold out show on November 12 with teen superstar Justin Bieber.

Madonna Lawsuit in Russia Dismissed
A Russian court on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit that sought millions of dollars in damages from Madonna for allegedly traumatizing minors by speaking up for gay rights during a concert in St. Petersburg.
The ruling came after a one-day hearing that bordered on the farcical. During it, plaintiffs claimed that Madonna’s so-called “propaganda of perversion” would negatively affect Russia’s birthrate and erode the nation’s defense capability by depriving the country of future soldiers. At one point, the judge threatened to expel journalists from the courtroom if they laughed too much. In the end, the Moskovsky district court in St. Petersburg threw out the Trade Union of Russian Citizens’ lawsuit and the 333 million rubles ($10.7 million) it sought from the singer for allegedly exposing youths to “homosexual propaganda.”
Madonna did not attend the trial, and her publicist Liz Rosenberg said Thursday the star wouldn’t comment about it.
Anti-gay sentiment is strong in Russia, particularly in St. Petersburg, where local legislators passed a law in February that made it illegal to promote homosexuality to minors. Six months later, Madonna criticized the law on Facebook, then stood up for gay rights during a concert in St. Petersburg that drew fans as young as 12.
“Who will children grow up to be if they hear about the equal rights of the lesbian lobby and manly love with traditional sexual relations?” one of the plaintiffs, Darya Dedova, testified Thursday. “The death rate prevails over the birth rate in the West; young guys are becoming gender neutral.”
The plaintiffs submitted evidence about gay culture drawn from Wikipedia pages, claiming that a real encyclopedia could not have articles about homosexuality.
“We aren’t against homosexual people, but we are against the propaganda of perversion among minors,” Dedova told the court. “We want to defend the values of a traditional family, which are currently in crisis in this country. Madonna violated our laws and she should be punished.” Madonna, who performed in Moscow and St. Petersburg in August as part of her world tour, also angered Russian officials by supporting jailed members of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot. The American said during her Moscow concert that she would “pray for them,” then turned around so the audience could see the words “Pussy Riot” written on her back. The singer also donned a ski mask similar to those worn by Pussy Riot.
Despite international outrage, three of that band’s members were sentenced to two years in jail on hooliganism charges for performing a “punk prayer” at Moscow’s main cathedral, during which they pleaded with the Virgin Mary to deliver Russia from President Vladimir Putin. One of the Pussy Riot members was later released from jail on appeal, but the other two were sent to prison camps to serve their sentences. CNBC

The Mexican press featured Madonna on every major newspaper ahead of her two back-to-back shows at Foro Sol. Check out a collection of scans including "Diario Imagen", "Milenio", "Reforma", "Estadio", "Opinion" and "El Universal" - including an exclusive interview where Madonna explains "why she loves Mexico".

Madonna kicked off the third leg of her MDNA Tour bringing the show back to Mexico City last night, and performing again in a stadium-sized venue after weeks of indoor arena shows. For Sol looked fantastic, packed with fans and a hugely responsive crowd that brought all their love to the Queen, although this was not warm enough for the freezing night of Valle de México and its more than 7,000 feets of altitude and Madonna had to wear extra layers during rehearsals and also in a couple of her numbers during the show. With the tour back to the stadiums, the iPad contest for the Golden Triangle was also back, and "Holiday" also pleased the Mexican fans right after Madonna's speech. She also had a special "Eve" speech during "Like a Virgin" - holding an apple of course!

Madonna received only praises, like "Madonna heats Foro Sol", "Retains her Throne" "Celebration before the Queen Of Pop","Shoots energy" "Impressive! "Ascends to her Aztec Throne", "Leaves them Breathless" and " "For the Queen there is no ending" (in regards of her speech about the Mayans prophecy for the end of the world). "More than 55,000 people attended the first sold-out show to a full moon and a chilly weather... Madonna rised to the stage at 10:32 pm..."

Anticipation is already high in Argentina for the return of the Queen of Pop and her MDNA Tour as you can see from this article on the November 22 edition of "La Nacion" newspaper, reviewing the concert in Miamia ahead of the Buenos Aires shows on December 13 and 15.

As you know anticipation has been incredible in Medellin and the press & media coverage of the upcoming concerts has just been growing day after day. Madonna articles keep popping in the local press, with great pieces that call the Madonna concert "a living moving piece of art", or more down-to-earth reports like those about the stage that had started to be set up at the Estadio Atanasio Girardot ahead of the concerts. The police department said there will be 1.400 policemen taking care of the big event, and local discos are cashing in already creating Madonna-themed nights that will focus especially on after-parties on the next couple of days. The Madonna concert will also be the opportunity for a special exhibit of the Madonna-inspired works of late local artist Javier Restrepo - his painting are on display this week.

Now that I am fresh back from the Manilow concert (feel free to insert insults here____ ):
Madonna met graffiti artist Simone Sapienza aka Siss last Tuesday, backstage at Morumbi Stadium right before her MDNA show in São Paulo. Simone was the only woman among the Johnnie Walker's Keep Walking project finalist, and it's not by chance that her own work was a tribute to the women's strenght itself.
Siss adapted one of her signature graffiti art, creating a Madonna Wonder Woman holding two spray cans, replacing the iconic face of Linda Carter with the one of the Queen of Pop herself. Giovanni Bianco, Madonna's art director and collaborator for eight years said: "Siss was very sensitive in capturing the song's idea and Madonna's pop world in her language. She captured something from the streets and from Madonna. It was very clever."
As previously reported on MadonnaTribe, the "Superstar" 2-track CD single was distributed for free with each copy of the Folha de S.Paulo last Monday. The Eddie Amador Remix, the b-side to the single, can be downloaded for free asMadonna & Johnnie Walker are treating their fans with 10,000 free downloads of the remix, available until December 12. Visit UOL and get it now.

http://www.hardcandymusic...arsal.html Lovely rehearsal recording of Like a Virgin. Madonna sounds quite vulnerable and moody. This would make for a great rainy day. Madonna needs to release Some Girls with some wicked remixes. Thats my jam.
