A lot of people i talk to only like their first 2 albums, but i'm the complete opposite!, i find them a bit morbid and depressing. I think with each album they've got better and better, really digging the more upbeat postive direction they've taken with their last 2 albums espescially, anyone else in the same camp as me?

Eh, i liked Viva LA Vida & Parachutes.

But there new stuff is rather boring to me & to poppy.

I would say it doesn't sound that different from a Maroon 5 album nowadays.

I do feel kind of bad for Coldplay...

they are becoming one of those bands that are ''cool'' to hate like Nickelback.

Yet when songs like Clocks, Viva La Vida & The Scientist came out people where dick ridin hard!, so peeps need to stop claiming to not like coldplay just because it's ''cool''

Not saying some peeps don't just dislike them , but i don't get why all of a sudden there' a huge backlash against them.

Their first two albums, classic. Their newer stuff, is too commecial sounding....No a fan of it.

Nickelback sure where big for awhile & i know a lot of peeps who liked them try to act brand new

And if i may ask why is Coldplay shit? i mean there early stuff has rather good harmonies, melodies & some decent musicianship.

When i ask people why Coldplay sucks 9/10 they always say ''Because chris martin is gay''

Honestly, I still like their first album the best [as a whole]. They've had songs I really like on their other albums. But none of their later albums really match the consistency of the first album imo.

Oh, I see. I'm generally not around people who dislike something to be cool, or to be in with the shitcrowd.

Why are Coldplay shit? Just my opinion, whining and instantly forgettable. Most of my colleagues like them though, but they're cunts.

I heard a lot of their first two albums, but have only heard the other three sporadically.

in my opinion, they were "just" an excellent singles band (Yellow, Clocks, In My Place, Speed of Sound, good tunes), but I couldn't be bothered with their albums

their last good single was "Viva la Vida", F-O-U-R years ago
