I was thinking the same thing but I believe "Kisses Don't Lie" was released as a third single after this one (but no video was filmed for it). You got to admit that was a great song, too!nod

I guess you can say, along with "Flirt", this was the last great song Leon Sylvers produced. Until, his work with N'Dambi, of course "Pink Elephant".

BANGIN'! "The Sparkling One" KILLED IT with this song! I still think she might have gotten with Flyte Tyme at some time in the late 80's/early 90's. They would have/could have rejuvenated her career. smile

I thought this too. Jam & Lewis, would've been perfect for her. *daps*.

nod that's exactly what she needed: a 1990 album produced by Jam and Lewis. She did release an album that year (The Girl Next Door) but it was a huge bomb.A kickass album produced by J&L would have given her career new life as we entered the 90s.

Yep. It's sad because "The Girl Next Door" was actually a very good album. But, when it was released, Evelyn was still dealing with the loss of her daughter so she wasn't really able to get out there and promote it. The only promo I recall for it was a video for the first single "Day To Day" and she did an interview on Video Soul but that was it from what I remember. I think the label just really dropped the ball with the album. I don't even think they bothered to release a second single from it. "This Song" received some radio play here where I am but I don't remember it being an official single. Yeah, I think Evelyn with J&L would have been totally awesome!
