She seems to have become disturbed/depressed after the Bionic commercial failure. Not something new among pop stars. Same old story, different actress.

I personally wish she wouldn't bring it up, just move on and promote Lotus. Every opportunity to promote Lotus has had some mention of Bionic.

I tried to listen to this album, but I had to leave it in the store. It seems so middle-of-the-road and plain. I knew she was gonna try to appease people after Bionic.

I think Bionic was a good album overall, but was too damn long. She needed to cut that down to 10 or 12 great songs.

I don't know why some artists insist on putting 20 damn songs on a cd- I thought we were over that. That's not an album to me, that's a mix tape.

I guess people feel like they get their money's worth, if they have more songs- but, to me, it feels like an artist is just throwing shit together and not trying to make a statement.

Mary J. Blige still does the same thing too. Cut it down!

This woman does not get it disbelief

I will always speak highly of Aguilera because despite some of her poor choices she without a doubt has the best pipes from her generation from a mainstream "pop star". I just wish she go toward the direction she went for Stripped. Leave all this pop commercial dance music alone and just stick to ballads, experiment with rock, blues etc like she did on previous albums. Her voice is better suited for that instead of just lessoning her abilities with generic songs

Its such a shame because the girl has real talent.

I clicked on the song above and after listening to that I have NO interest in hearing the album. She needs stop trying to be a pop star and just create MUSIC.

You got to be kidding me? la-di-da-di-da? I don't understand why she does this kind of music. And the public doesn't want it either, the album is going down even faster than Bionic.

What happened to this woman:

It is completely embarrassing that Will.I.Am's song with Britney which is only a feature is doing better than her official singles off a new studio album. What is goin on? She hasn't had a hit since 06.

^ Yes, but funny thing about Britney is that she's experienced a rebirth on chart success after her 2007-8 personal crisis was widely explored by the media and got a lot of attention for her for mean reasons. (You can think as big twist toward regaining commercial success her 08 VMA fiasco!!)

Today's music seem to be more mediatic than ever. It's more about media exposure than the music itself. Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, biggest sellers today are the ones that get the more social media exposure, the wider acceptance with the teenage public that uses this media the most and is more willing to consume newly released music which gets to chart. Charts, from Elvis to now, always been more an adolescent mass consume reflection than any other public's (with few exceptional episodes, like, recently, Adele, who got to aim at a more general public).

Christina is being widely exposed in the media by the Voice right now, but, strangely, while Adam Levine got some big hits in the meantime, she's only had Moves Like Jagger which she did with Adam himself. Someone said that for Christina it might be the same strange case as Janet: people, mysteriously for me, got no longer to care for their new music. Strange cause I think neither of them has lost the power to make good music.

Really good points here, and I agree.

Part of the reason though is on them. Like how Christina is not really putting her all into marketing the album through tour or performances. You dont have to be a media whore in order to market an album but that does help in getting your music exposed.

In Janets case, her last four albums were not that good in quality (with or without Superbowl incident). Her last really good album was Velvet Rope and than she had that Superbowl fiasco (which partially hurt her career/image). With that being said, she seems to be more focused in acting and movies than music. I think both of these women are capable of coming out with good music. They simply need to stop chasing the damn radio and just stay true to themselves.

I'm sorry but that song is really nothing to brag about. To me, that song sounds like a rejected, poorly recycled B.E.P track that everyone hated except for Will....his J.Lo/Mick Jagger track was 100 times better than this one and even it wasn't that good. If that's what people are into now, than I'm definitely never turning on my radio ever again. I think it's more embarrassing for the people who like that god awful mess of a song because it's a hot mess when you actually really listen to it. If that song is what gets chart success and praise, than I'd rather Christina never chart again. lol Why be on a chart that is mostly filled with crap? That's like going to an exclusive event with over 1000 people and you only like 5 people there. What's the point in even staying...or going for that matter? Chart success definitely does not always equal good quality songs and/or albums and that 'Scream and Shout' track is a prime example of this. Just my twocents
