you had to buy the cassette or Vinyl to get the intro song to the movie "PAIN" by pac and streach.

With the mighty Mike Bloomfield on guitar. Here's a track from youtube (note- the band on stage during the scene is not the Electric Flag):

Not really an iconic one, but I think it's the only one of the series with a proper soundtrack instead of just a music score, and it's actually really really good!

That's The Way Of The World is a 1975 movie starring Harvey Keitel and Earth Wind and Fire.It was a huge bomb at the box office, but the soundtrack was a major success, giving Earth Wind and Fire their first Number One smash hit "Shining Star".Because the movie faded away so quickly, many people do not realize that the album is actually a soundtrack.

some may argue that Superfly is 'bad' but its CLEARLY influential!! not sure if Above the Rim is all that "forgotten" in the hood.

i got the "superfly" dvd as a gag gift for my mother. she remembers when the movie was out, there were people applauding priest's cadillac when it appeared on screen the first time. really so bad it's good kind of movie, but the soundtrack just outclasses it in every way.

SuperFly isn't a great movie,by any means.I have the DVD,but it's more for nostalgic purposes lol I think The Mack is far better.

Yeah,That's The Way Of The World is a very weak movie lol The subject matter was good (the evils of the recording industry) but unfortunately,it's just not a good movie. My biggest problem with the film is the way they mis-used the excellent EW&F songs. Most of the songs ("Reasons","See The Light" and the title track) are only heard in the film as instrumentals! 'Shining Star" and "Happy Feeling" are the only songs that are heard clearly, with vocals and all.

There's no excuse for that disbelief but oh well,at least the album still found a massive audience. It was the album that began EW&F's 70s heyday.

This movie came on cable tv A LOT when I was a kid. Some married dude attempts to have a fling with a beautiful woman in a red dress, "Hilarity" ensues. lol As far as the soundtrack goes, "Love Light In Flight" is the best Stevie Wonder track. Waaay better than "I Just Called To Say I Love You".
