Loved the references in "Genius of Love":

Clinton's musicians such as Bootsy Collins...

Quite like Smokey, Smokey Robinson
Wailin' and skankin' to Bob Marley
Reggae's expanding with Sly an Robbie...

Steppin' in a rhythm to a Kurtis Blow...

Bohannon, Bohannon, Bohannon, Bohannon smile

I saw them last year at Central Park, NYC.

I met Chris & Tina in the Greenwich Village.

Yeah, we used to do the dame thing, too. Playing Intellevision (BurgerTime and LadyBug) I also remember "Word's Work" (or something like that). THAT was a very cute-sy period in my life. Thanks for your replies wink

Ain't that the truth, Ruth! This one needs to be added to stymies thread; you just don't hear it on the radio.

Can't remember if I knew "It's nasty (Genius of Love)"('82) by Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five earlier than the original by tomtomclub...

"Genius of Love" is exactly that -

GENIUS.

Phat, heavy bassline, slick, playful rhythm guitar..

& to think that this funk jam came from 2 members of
Talking Heads!
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..
