It's a bootleg release of Jay-Z's Black Album recorded over Prince's songs--specifically from Purple Rain I believe--like Dangermouse's Grey Album, but switching The Beatles for Prince. | |

There's actually two "Purple Albums". One of them just used Prince songs from "Purple Rain".
The other one uses Prince songs from all across his career.... for example, Jay-Z's "Encore" was laid over a "Hot Thing" sample. I preferred that one. |
