Mariah's Victory Song For Obama, "Bring it on Home"

November 7, 2012

Mariah Carey celebrates Barack Obama’s victory with “Bring It On Home,” which she penned for the re-elected president. The pop diva performed the inspiring song at a fundraiser for Obama over the summer, and now Jermaine Dupri has released the real studio version.

Mimi took to Twitter to share her happiness over Obama’s win. “Congratulations to our beloved President Barack Obama, our spectacular First Lady Michelle Obama & the adorable Malia & Sasha. We love you!” she tweeted.

omg an actual song! with, like, singing and backing vocals eek

what made me laugh is how it's only 2:55 so there is still room

to squeeze in a rapper cameo if it gets released to radio falloff

and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

what she does with her voice around the 00:30 mark is why I love her. it's always been those little things for me, not the big, high notes.

the song is nice enough for what it is but I wish the production was better. it also reminds me of that gospel version of Through the Rain she did with Kelly Price a few years ago.

Awful!

This tripe along with Stevie and JayZ simply add up to washed up and out of ideas...

I mean really. They need to work on their own music but I guess if you can't come up with ideas, this is one of the few ways to get attention nowadays...

Next time MC, do a full album of singing and leave the hip-hop to the kids. Mmkay?

The thing is, even though this song is better than what she has been doing its still weak as hell, that same lazy lazy mid tempo beat, i know this a "throwaway" last minute track but Mariah needs a change and its about a decade or more overdue

She always had tepid beats. Seems she's been autopilot for her entire career.

Uhhm, this is a song she came up with during rehearsal for an Obama benefit. This is just a cleaned up audio of the benefit performance. Excuse, her for not having Kanye on hand with a trendy 808. when she went trendy with Obsessed u hated that as well.
