I really like it.The song is called
I look good in leather.U can watch it at
www.codychesnutt.com.
There is a double album called [b]The headphone masterpiece[b/].I´ve never seen it at the store but I found some
of the tracks 4 download & it´s really cool sounding
being all demos.Apearently he refused 2 rerecord his
demo´s he´d recorded in his bedroom.
I´d really like 2 hear the whole album.

Gotta agree with Rhonda and Maxx. The tracks that I've heard from this guy stink.

I tell ya - it's VERY roots rock oriented stuff. Don't go listening to it thinking about Lenny, a producer chameleon, or Prince, a perfectionist.

Go to it thinking about a guy who's got the music in his head, with limited facilities to get it out and onto tape. He's been adopted by the media as the NBT (next big thing) and that may be the kiss of death, or it may help him get these songs OUT.

The fact that the guy put a record OUT is impressive enough. We're all trying to be heard. This guy has a very roots-based, folk-art approach that is refreshing and new, compared to the slickly produced CRAP that is all over MTV nowadays.

I Agree. My Buddy went to Go See Him in Concert&Laughed So hard&didn't get the Hype with Him.I Applaud anybody doing there thing no matter be it Main-stream or Underground&Everybody has a Fan,but this Cat ain't worth all the Hype. His Guitar Stuff doesn't knock me out like Ben Harper&His Vocals can't hang with Darius Rucker's IMHO.A Cat like Chesnutt&Eagle Eye Cherry have that Dakotta Moon Funk which ain't gonna Happen.

He's getting a lot of underground hype... it's as though you ain't down until you cop his album. Mostly because it was recorded really raw in terms of basic equipment and sound bleeding etc.

Still I'm with Rhonda, maxxx and the others. I'm not feelin it all.
