FAME Lunchroom battle! For those most fortunate there's a remake of the classic movie FAME that came and went a few years ago you might not know about. I don't know what I was expecting but a remake on par with "High School Musical" wasn't it.
They redo a lot of things including the famous hot lunch jam scene. Believe it or not some people actually prefer the latter. smh
But judge for yourself. I've never made a movie in my life but I'm confident I wouldn't have messed up a remake (I wouldn't have done it in the first place) quite as remarkably as the producers of this movie did.

is that michael de lorenzo i see for a hot minute. Ilike the look of newer fame. the old fame-something about those 70s 80s films and how they don't look right today. too gritty and low budget looking "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Yeah 1980's FAME was a gritty film.
2009's had none.

i perfer the original the hot gritty raw feel of the original is what makes it special. the look is not cheap thats just the look of the 80's. and for it 2 be remade apparently they saw alot in it as well. i love fame i got season 1 and 2 on dvd love watching it. im not a fan of new tv nothing is original and they dont push the limits everything is a recreation of the past and then everybody chose 2 put the past down

The original is way happier and got more soul. But I was a big fan of Fame in the 80's, so the 2009's version never had a chance with me anyway

What a joke.
The remake is proof of an anti-christ "Climb in my fur."

The ONLY good thing I can say about the remake is that they didn't even try to redo "I Sing The Body Electric".
That would not have been good.
What wasn't so good was that they did this:

Back in the day they looked just fine. The problem is you have the conversion factor from analog to digital. These were shot on actual film stock and shown on projectors that were made for them. Now we watch them on digital equipment. Like when you listen to an LP on a good turn table. The thing has "weight" to it. Once you rip it to CD, all that is gone.
