Ronnie Dyson ~ The More You Do It

My mom used to play this a lot

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I bought this album on a recent vinyl dig lol Ronnie Dyson is one of the most underrated R&B vocalists of the 70s.His 1977 album Love In All Flavors is a masterpiece.I wish more people knew about that album.

Why didn`t you buy the cd twofer from Expansion Records with "Love In All Flavors/ " The More You Do It " ? Such a great reissue which needs everyone`s support .

In my case I wouldn't buy a CD just to buy it. The original record usually sounds better to me than a CD reissue and I prefer the larger artwork too.

I first heard the name Ronnie Dyson from an episode of In Living Color when Howard Tibbs III said he got kicked out of one of his parties.

I know many prefer old lps but I don`t, and in this case the cd reissue sounds absolutely excellent.

Give it a try you won`t be dissapointed at all.

You must work for the company that released this CD. lol I don't really like 2-fers (unless there is no alternative), and don't need to buy this anyway. If I really need to hear it, I can just borrow my mom's record.

I actually have both of these albums on vinyl, but I love remastered CDs with all the goodies included (liner notes, rare pics, etc).
