Trent Reznor's Call of Duty: Black Ops II Music

In between partnering with Beats by Dre, remixing Telepathe, and readying the major label debut of his How to Destroy Angels project, Trent Reznor has found time to write video game music.

Reznor wrote a theme song for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which he described as "aggressive" guitar rock with "a lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface."

Now, it's been announced that Reznor's theme will get a commercial release separate from the game. Call of Duty: Black Ops II's 40+ track soundtrack, which also features an original score by Jack Wall, will be out November 13 via iTunes, coinciding with the game's release. (So you can hear Reznor's song without staring at emotionally-conflicting images that glorify combat.)

The soundtrack also comes with the physical edition of the game.
