Bill Withers appreciation

I don't think Prince would have gotten the phrase "put cha foot on the rock" without Bill. Classic love songs and mellow funk jams. Put them hands together for Bill yall...

YUP, YUP!!! nod

"Lovely Day" is a wonderful song as well. I also really appreciate Out of Eden's version to that song.

And "Just the Two of Us" with Grover WAshington, Jr. is classic love!!

You guys should pick up the re-mastered CDs that just came out...

'Still Bill'(1972)
'Menagerie'(1977)

Both CDs include liner notes,bonus tracks,rare photos,etc.

How do you turn a duck into a soul singer?

Stick it in the microwave until it's Bill Withers.

Bill Withers is simply one of the most underappreciated artists in modern music. Period. His songs are soulful, funky, timeless. He should have been elected to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame already (assuming he's not in)!!!
Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
