Murdering a great song. His vocals are completely shot. I know Axl's always had good and bad days with his vocals, but fuck me, this is terrible.

All that screaming destroyed his voice.

A) It's Axl Rose

B) Yeah, Better indeed could have been better

C) You're crazy and bits and pieces of other songs weren't too shabby (when he puts his full power in, he sounds great e.g. Jungle at 04:05, when not he sounds like Micky Mouse)

D) The band was tight.

This guy...smh.

Wendy need's to take a break & focus on his vocals... and maybe not being the same uptight asshole for 3 or 4 decades.. and maybe it will better his vocals a bit.

back in the UYI he had some really off day's, but even those day's i loved some of the screeching vocals. He did a rough as fuck version of You Could Be Mine that i adore!

But these vocals are way to rough... it's like comparing rough sex, to beating the shit out of someone sex.

Apparently they performed at a school called Bridge School. Jack White just performed there a few hours ago (his Dead Weather bandmate - and possible lover (I hope because they're hot) Alisson Mosshart singing alongside him). That said, that's no excuse for why Axl sounded winded. He sounded all of his 50 years singing that.

I've been rooting for Axl ever since Chinese Democracy came out, but there's no excuse for this type of a performance. I am really starting to think that he should just quit.

Why is the video completely out of time with the singing?

It doesn't sound like him at all. And I'm sure I can faintly hear the real Axl voice at times in the background...

Well, the way he uses his voice isn't exactly something vocal coaches would teach you. It's bound to cause problems sooner or later.

Why don't you just listen to recent concert footage?? He played about 50 shows this year. There is plenty of footage on Youtube. Sometimes he sings great, sometimes not so great. My shows were great.

What do you mean? I just said I dont think his voice is completly shot. Are you saying that you think Im not so sure if it is or isnt? All in all I think the Better bad performance was just that..a bad performance on THAT song..plus just having a bad night. Shrug.

^^No. I'm saying that there is enough of current footage out there that it's not (for you or anyone) necessary to question whether his voice is shot or not or to make a big deal out of this (acoustic) performance. It is not. He just has some off days here and there.
