Touch Me (All Night Long)

Wish ft. Fonda Rae Cathy Dennis

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I liked both of them, but I agree about Cathy. She should still be making good music. I think she is mostly a songwriter now.

Cathy Dennis is from the UK too, but I guess you're talking about S-S-S-S-Samantha Fox. Samantha has a song called Touch Me, but it's different. The original Fonda Rae version came out around 1982 or 83. Cathy's was 1990.

She's been writing with Katy Perry...

I don't know about it being in a movie. But I think the remake is more well known.

Although her career as an dance-pop/EDM artist (both with D-Mob and solo) was short-lived, Cathy Dennis is very well known as a songwriter. She wrote Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out Of My Head & Britney Spears' Toxic.

I guess Cathy discovered there's heaps more money writing for pop tarts than being one. She's written for lots of other artists (Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, Pink, Roisin Murphy, etc...) and has had a dozen or so number ones over the past decade. She also wrote the American Idol theme song.
