^^No. I'm saying that there is enough of current footage out there that it's not (for you or anyone) necessary to question whether his voice is shot or not or to make a big deal out of this (acoustic) performance. It is not. He just has some off days here and there.

And thats what I said/mean. His voice isnt shot, its been a few one off performances is all. I have seen some youtubery in the past to verify myself.

I think he was just sick that night, I've heard some relatively recent live recordings where he sounded very good.

Unfortunately his voice seems to ditch him at the worst possible moments, like when the new lineup made their first tv appearance on the VMAs. I thought he was shot for life. Turns out it was just a bad night.

I think Axls singing style that he is well known for, is very physically demanding. It doesnt sound like technique that would be taught by a vocal tutor and it sounds like it puts alot of strain on his throat/vocal chords.

I'll bet that everytime he has a throat niggle, cough/cold or stayed out all night etc, his singing suffers badly for it. You can't cancel shows everytime you're not 100% though. In his younger days, he was probably able to push through those kind of niggles, but the body is tougher to heal fast when it ages!

I saw him about 5 years ago and he sounded like the Axl everyone knows. It was pretty cool!

Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

I have to somewhat agree with this to, even in Guns heyday he had days where his voice was ROUGH some nights he sounded great, some night he sounded hella rough in his voice.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen
