Bump what Kool Moe Dee's OPINION is
and guess what Stevie Wonder did a song with Drake, and Rev Run said he liked Lil Wayn and Nikki and MJ worked with Akon so does that make all of them legends?
No.
Jay Z ABOVE Heavy D, MC Lyte?
I dont think so.... | |

Lauryn Hill. Damn Moe Dee i wouldn't rate her higher than Latifah or Lyte more or less as a top 10 MC. He rates Black Thought too low imo too. Don't laugh at my funk

I still can't get how you consider Mobb Deep legends more so than OutKast.
At the time Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie, Nas, Boot Camp Click Members and even Big L, and Jay Z were out.
They took a back seat behind half of them, though (prime) Mobb Deep was nasty. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Wait. Mobb Deep? Legends?

I dedicated an entire post to why I edited my post and my original list. My original list did not include them and Mobb Deep came out in the late 80s... which was still before Outkast.

What did Mobb Deep accomplish in the '80s though? I only remember them in the mid-to-late '90s and then...nothing. Outkast was way more popular than them too.

Like I said Mobb was not in my original list.... and I added them in. The ones I added can be argued for whatever side. I am not arguing against your point because they were not in my original list. My original list is who I consider to be legends and I added I guess some other ones I thought but wasnt completely sure about myself because it can be argued for or against
And popularity like I told LBC doesnt make someone more or less of a legend. Now looking at it from the bigger picture, I wouldnt add them....................but I still dont think Outkast are legends [Edited 10/29/12 19:15pm]

Seems like the both of you put your favorites in though. Just saying.

Nas is my favorite rapper and I didnt even include him in my original list
Because like I said in a past post that legend list was a list of legends that pioneered things musically for the genre.
Also, I love LL, Heavy D, Missy, and so forth but I consider them to be ICONS more so than legends.
I dont consider All my favorites to be legends
I LOVE Janet Jackson, Brandy, D Angelo, Janelle Monae but I dont consider them to be legends
I tried really hard not to be biased and objective when I made that list and then after going back and forth with some I added Nas and a couple of others because Legends dont necessarily have to pioneer things but my original list was a list consisting of legends that pioneers things specifically [Edited 10/29/12 19:27pm]

Who's more of a legend in Hio-Hop though, Mobb or OutKast?
And Janet is a legend ... no Jackson bias, real talk. PRINCE: Always and Forever
