I think the halftime shows are more for the wives, girlfriends, and gay men who are bored out of their minds during the game. Since people have these Superbowl parties which probably started out as parties with a bunch of men but you know how a lot of wives and girlfriends are, they just can't let a man have an activity to himself without having them parked up under his ass spending "together" time.

Over the years, it has become the "in" thing to do to go to these parties whether you like football or not. I know one year, I was talked into (well begged into) going to a Superbowl party by someone that didn't even like football but wanted to go and didn't want to feel alone while he was there. It was the most rediculous thing I had ever seen. Women trying to talk to each other while the game is going on and men hollering at them and telling them to shut up so they can concentrate on the game. And I don't blame the men either, if those women don't like football, they shouldn't be there. And then the women were sitting there waiting for the commercials since they make a big deal out of the commercials during the game and spend a lot of money making them. You gotta be pretty damn desperate for some entertainment if you're waiting to see a commercial of all things. Every year when the Superbowl comes on, I usually watch a DVD. The only year when I even watched one second of the Superbowl was when Prince performed and I simply didn't turn it on until it was time for him to perform, recorded the performance, and watched it again immediately afterwards a few times. After that, I threw in a DVD.

She has a voice and can move but musically she's not my thing. But oh well, to each his own. But stealing material (yes yes, STEALING, not "inspired by") is , firstly, a total embarassement and disgrace, secondly; it's a disservice to the bunch of talented choreographers around who might really do something creative for her.

My guess would be that she copy-pastes stuff to be able to claim she came up with it herself and add to the aura of the multi-talented genius. But one person can't do all, and sometimes you need to loosen control and give other creative people the room to make you shine.

Beyonce is a clone of Tina Turner AND Diana Ross. How exact is a clone better than an original to you in beyond me. But to each its own.

Don't stereotype. I'm a woman and I love football. I know lots of women who are into football too. The NFL is very universal. I would say far more women like football than other sports like basketball, baseball and hockey. In fact, I love football so much I prefer to watch it by myself so I can focus on the game, and not with a lot of screaming people.

I will watch the halftime if it's an artist I like. But otherwise, as Soul Alive said I will go do something else.

I like Beyonce and I hope she is ready. She has lot to compete with after Madonna. I think people underrate Madonna and always think she's going to mess up somehow but she doesn't but instead outdoes herself. Beyonce is overrated by some people, and everyone is saying she will be great. Hope she doesn't believe the hype and get overconfident and not prepare. Also these things go in cycles. Since Madonna was praised by the media a lot, if not on this forum, they will tend to turn the other way this year and say Beyonce is bad even if she isn't.
