Oh my God....no....just no. The only individual artist who had a shot at Prince (in my mind) was D'angelo and we see how that is going. Even in the beginning stages of Prince's career you could see how his albums were building on each other. Each time the vision was clearer, the voice was stronger and he was hungry to separate himself from the pack.

I get that! I think Prince has set the standard by which all these other folks will always be compared.

As for Bruno... I like and respect him. Not a major fan or anything, but when I see him performing on an award show or something I don't feel the need to turn the channel...unlike a certain young blond Country singer who sells a ton of records but can't sing in tune.

Probably, but in prior generations the same was said of Stevie. For all we know, in 20 years people may say Bruno Mars has "set the standard . . ." and so on. Doubtful, but possible, as time marches on and memories fade.

when he hosted SNL...that was the first time I ever seen he can actually sing. He has talent....but his songs suck. He is no where in prince's category.
