Not bad. Never heard this tune before but i like the bass and lead guitars in it.

I guess i never gave these guys a chance cause i was all freaked out by the

makeup and nail polish. Little Richard used to freak me out too with the makeup

he used to wear when i was in kid in the 70's. He even stated some of his band

members used to be afraid to get their paychecks from him.

Waits for Gene and Paul to chime in popcorn

Oh you know it's coming! popcorn pepsi lol Gene's ego is too damn big to allow Steven & Joe to have the last word.

Paul has something to say about this. I found it on kissonline.com:

PAUL STANLEY RESPONDS TO STEVEN TYLER
KISSONLINE.com
Paul Stanley/KISS Responds To Steven Tyler/Aerosmith Rant About KISS

Paul Stanley was on Bob Coburn’s ROCKLINE radio show yesterday (10/15/2012) and was asked about Steven Tyler/Aerosmith’s insulting comments about KISS.

BOB COBURN/ROCKLINE:

You got a shot across your bow from Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, did you hear that? He called you a comic book band. Any response to that?

PAUL STANLEY/KISS:

Well, you know, look, I love Steven… and Joe… and Aerosmith is a great band. Maybe Steven’s feeling a bit full of himself because he’s got an album coming out. The reality is, in 2003, we did a co-headlining tour and everything was 50/50, but Steven wanted very much and insisted that they close the show. I really don’t care, because as far as I am concerned, one way or another you’re going to have to come up on the stage, so you can go on before us or after us. And that being said, he certainly had a chip on his shoulder back then, there is some sort of, ambivalence or looking down his nose a bit towards KISS. So I have to say that seeing him go on after us, to play to an underwhelmed audience and see people walking out didn’t feel too bad to me. Well, no matter who you think you are – don’t wish for something that may come true.

Make no mistake, I have been doing this as long as he has – and I take myself every bit as seriously as he does. At the end of the day, I think that the tale got told. So when their album comes out, I wish it the best and let’s put them both on and let the music do the talking.

"Sure Know Something" is one of my favorite KISS songs!

pfunkd i'm so glad you liked the song i suggested.a bit of trivia. Guitar solo on Sure Knows Something was played by Paul Stanley himself.he played many guitar solos on Kiss records. Kiss were never the best virtuoso musicians but they always had very good songs with groovy bass lines and cool interaction between lead and back vocals.

Although I think Gene Simmons is one of the biggest assholes around, I don't have anything against the other members of Kiss. Paul has a decent voice and Ace is a decent guitarist, but I have never really taken them too seriously as a band. They certainly have a lot of fans and I saw them live once back in the early 80's, but I can't compare them to Aerosmith at all. Aerosmith is the superior band! Their songs, lyrically and musically are far superior to anything Kiss has ever put out.

I do not agree that Kiss should be in the RRHOF either. They can remain off the ballot forever as far as I'm concerned.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry ripped into Kiss in a radio interview with Florida radio station the Bone, calling their former tourmates a "comic book rock band." "Kiss is a comic book rock band and they got a couple hits but they're more of a comic book. You see them in their spackled faces," remarked Tyler. "It's theater," interjected Perry.

"It's two different animals, they went the theatrical way and used rock and roll kind of as their soundtrack and for Aerosmith, the music is our show," added Perry. "It's apples and oranges."

I don't disagree with Steven Tyler or Joe Perry. Nevertheless, I saw KISS live-in-concert during their peak in 1978, and the show was SPECTACULAR!

I was never particularly fond of their music, although I did like "Beth", and one or two other songs. As Tyler remarked, KISS concerts were indeed THEATER (or actually, more like a Rock-n-Roll Circus from Hell), and with all the pyrotechnics & explosions going off every 3 minutes, it seemed as if KISS had declared WAR on the audience - it was great fun, and a memory I'll never forget.

I also agree with Perry; comparing Aerosmith & KISS is like comparing Apples & Oranges.

They had a few great songs in the '70s though. I LOVE "Firehouse". But yeah it seems that going into a Kiss show was like seeing a musical. Matter of fact, now I think about it, it wasn't like Aerosmith attacked them. They were just being real with it...

I agree on both points. I don't think Aerosmith was dissing KISS as much as they were just describing them. Nor do I feel it takes anything away from KISS for having had a theatrical bent. Parliament/Funkadelic had a comic book/theatrical quality as well (although today they focus more on the music), but it hasn't ever taken away from their greatness. In many ways, it's added to it.

Real true. KISS is enjoyable stuff to see live.

Paul pretty much reconfirmed everything I said of the 2003 events. Funny stuff, but I can see Steven being a primadonna on that tour. I know that Joey Kramer (drummer) hates KISS too

and didn't want to do the tour.

I agree with P-Dogz about the visual aspect. I saw them in 1979 (1st concert ever) and was totally into the show. I dug the songs but the show was the icing on the cake.

I just saw them on "The Tour" with Motley and although KISS is a different band now, the show was still fun.

I really do like both KISS and Aerosmith, but speaking of comic books, I wonder if Steven and Joe have forgotten what the cover art for their new album looks like.....(you can see it on the left side of the video below):
