has anyone found Madonna's "American Life" on kazaa yet?

sorry, another thread about this song/video. just curious if anyone'd been able to download the actual song yet, and not the looped clip.

thanks.

Nope, the song hasn't leaked yet.Madonna was really upset when her "Music" single leaked early,so this time she is guarding the new single and album as if they were her children...lol...but don't worry, you will have the song very shortly. There are *rumors* that AOL will allow you to download the song on March 10.Otherwise,you can just wait until March 20,the "official" date when the song will be sent to radio. The video premieres on MTV around that time too.

I don't think you have to be a member to hear the song. AOL's 'First Listen' and 'Sessions' can be heard at music.netscape.com (Netscape's owned by AOL).

Oops,I was wrong. The "official" radio release date is March 25th,although a very reliable source claims it will be on the radio by March 20th.We'll see.

According to Madonna's official site, this is the final tracklist for the new CD...

"American Life"
"Hollywood"
"I'm So Stupid"
"Love Profusion"
"Nobody Knows Me"
"Nothing Fails"
"Intervention"
"The Process"
"Mother And Father"
"Die Another Day"
"Easy Ride"

No big changes, except the song commonly known as "I'm So Sorry" is indeed called "I'm So Stupid".Also, the two last songs "Die Another Day" and "Easy Ride" have been reversed. And,there is no bonus track after all.

Once again,to hear a small snippet of the rap from this song,go to...

Aaron and Raven,I wanna stress that the AOL download is still a *RUMOR* at this point. On the Madonna fansites, fans are going crazy seeking more info, but there is still no confirmation if it is true. And if the download was gonna be available on Monday, wouldn't AOL be advertising it by now?

Checked Amazon.com today - 3/04/03 - & they have no listing at all for American Life or a new Madonna cd. I've heard release dates of April 15th & the 22nd. Which is it?? The new Fleetwood Mac cd - 4/15/03 - is listed & the new Macy Gray cd - 4/29/03 - is listed. Where's Madonna?? Is the record company being that shifty with a release date? Last minute changes? Cold feet? What gives?

the only single release dates i've seen have been for outside the US.

Well no.
A cd single is 2 tracks.
A maxi-single is multiple tracks.
A cd single may have a b-side while the maxi-single may not have the b-side cut just multiple remixes.
Often the cd single precedes the maxi-single.
And in the UK they have limitations so you get these double cd singles that total six songs in total.
And they all can have different release dates.

i know all of this. however, in the US, the 2-track CD single is all but a thing of the past. hell, the comercially-released single (2-track, maxi, or otherwise) itself is struggling to stay alive.

she hasn't had a 2-track single in the US since... ummm... "Music" maybe?

It may not be listed on Amazon yet,but the CD is definitely coming out sometime in April.I guess different countries will have different release dates. In America, the likely release date is Tuesday April 22.

I think they're talking about the maxi-single.As Aaron pointed out,2-track CD singles are becoming increasingly rare,at least as far as Madonna is concerned. Her last hit "Die Another Day" was released ONLY in maxi-single format, and I suspect it will be the same for the new single.

Btw,these are the remixers for the the new single...

Missy
Peter Rauhofer
Felix da Housecat
Paul Oakenfold
