Donna Summer

One of my fav Donna Summer songs, from her 1975 - Love To Love You Baby LP.

Enjoy! She was more than the queen of disco imo, incredible vocalist!

This is just one example of Donna's versatile vocal ability. She can sound this way on this song and some would not know it was her because she's not belting like she does on the rock oriented "Hot Stuff" or the well known, "Last Dance". Compare those with her vocal approach on "Dinner With Gershwin", "The Wanderer", "Sometimes Like Butterflies", "Love Will Always Find You", and more, and her actress approach is evident and unmatched in my biased opinion:)

Totally agree, Donna was an amazing vocalist and she could sing many types of genres. Great examples btw! Do you think she'll be inducted to the rock&roll hall of fame?

Hi! I really have no idea if she will get inducted or not. She's been nominated a few times before. Only this time, she is not with us to find out the results. After Elton John's comments, among other celebrity comments, I think her chances of getting in has increased. Even further, they nominated her again. They certainly didn't have to nominate her again, but they did. Despite that they have nominated her on more than one occasion in the past, I feel that the overall reaction to her death and its association with her never having been inducted, has indeed increased her chances. However, it seems they are letting fans have a say so in their decision making. There is a poll that they will incorporate into their decision making. So, if she does not get in (or anyone else for that matter), the Hall won't be entirely to blame. Some of the blame could be said to go to those who voted or didn't vote.

Love this track. I also love how Donna's vocals seem high up in the mix. Shame the producers of this track didn't do more tracks with her

All Systems Go is such an underrated album. There were several potential hits on that album but,as was often the case,Geffen Records didn't know what to do with it.They should have released the infectious "Love Shock" as the second single, then surprised listeners with the mellow, intoxicating "Fascination" as the third single. It's a quiet storm masterpiece that would have exposed Donna to a whole new audience.
