For me it started as a birthday present for myself (new years baby). I had been robbed and never really got my cd collection back, what I wanted and missed the most was Teena Marie collection - I splurged on what I wanted the most. I was taking a nice long get over your xmas hangover bath and I noticed the radio station kept playing her and I thought cool a nice TM block and then the DJ said she died. I cried out like a family member had passed. Since then I don't think a day has gone by I haven't listened, hummed or sang one of her songs. I could definitely do an Island with with lady Tee. Although I have had some of my lifes highlights with Prince. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.... | |
