Tameka Raymond still 'in shock' over Kile's death

Tameka Raymond said she’s still in shock over the death of her son Kile Glover.

“I don’t know how… I don’t know how to really put it into words. It’s really hard,” she told “Entertainment Tonight.”

“I’m probably still in shock,” she said. “When God calls His children home so early, I think they have to be very special in order for God to say their work is done here.”

It’s been a little more than two months since 11-year-old Kile died in a Jet-Ski accident. The preteen fought for his life for 15 days, but succumbed to injuries sustained when the water vehicle hit him while he sat in an inner tube on Atlanta’s Lake Lanier.

“I could be talking about him and maybe not cry, but then I could just smell something or eat something… It’s really random things, just the smallest things that other people wouldn’t understand,” she said, about those moments when she feels Kile’s presence and is overcome.

Tameka recently lost custody of her two youngest sons, who are now living with Usher. However, she questioned how his new gig on “The Voice,” will affect his ability to be a full-time dad.

“It wouldn’t really work out because my kids are in school,” she said, pointing out that they’re enrolled in schools in Atlanta while the show tapes in California.

When asked why the judge granted primary custody to Usher and not Tameka, the former stylist responded, “Cash is king.”

While she suggests his money may have influence over others, Tameka denied that’s what attracted her to Usher. She asserts that she married him for love.

“I think this is the typical stereotype. If a woman who has lesser means, even if she is successful and hardworking and does her thing in her own right, marries someone that's what they call marrying up, someone that has more means or more money, they're automatically a gold digger," she said.

Although she said her marriage to Usher was about love and that she fell in love with him not his celebrity, there were warning signs that their union was in jeopardy when Usher called off their wedding the night before the big day.

“I truly don't know what he was going through, but I would probably say that he had jitters,” Tameka told “ET.”

“I think it was a bunch of stuff he said, all I know is that he wasn't doing it and that he wasn't ready,” said Tameka, who ended up marrying him five days later.

“I was just happy that he'd had a ‘come to Jesus’ moment. I loved him a lot. I loved him enough to forgive him,” she said.
