This months albums...

So I've bought...

Mumford & Sons, Babel (digipak).

Slash, Slash (cd/dvd edition).

Beach House, Bloom (signed digipak).

David Byrne & St Vincent, Love This Giant (odd digipak with interchangeable covers).

Andy Allo, Unfresh (digipak).

First Aid Kit, The Big Black & the Blue (digipak).

A Winged Victory for the Sullen, A Winged Victory for the Sullen (beautiful digipak).

Of them all the last one is quite possibly the most haunting album I have ever heard in my life. Stunning, minimalist beauty. How two people can put things like this together boggles my mind.

Oh, and Tiger & Woods, Through the Green.

May well order 1999 on vinyl. I love Boomkat and they love me...

Their review of the vinyl re-issue of 1999. They like their music as you can see from the choice of songs they mention smile

"1999 was the fifth studio album by Prince, originally released by Warner Bros in 1982 and now available on a new vinyl edition for the first time in years - cut loud! Quite honestly, having a pristine new pressing of Something In The Water, D.M.S.R., Lady Cab Driver and All The Critics Love You In New York is in itself more then worthy of the cost of admission - it just doesnt get much better..."

It's £23.99 by the way!

The David Byrne package is an odd choice. It's a bit shit actually. Placed onto the Mac (lossless) and then put onto the cd shelf.

Umm, purchases made over the last few weeks or so. Just had an email that Tiger & Woods won't be coming back in stock. Add to that Purity Ring's, Shrine aswell. Witch-house is the genre apparently! Whatever. Great with headphones, enough to give you aural epilepsy! That makes sense if you hear it smile

The Salsoul Orchestra? They any good?
