Robert Glasper Experiment
Black Radio Recovered: The Remix EP

Robert Glasper’s breakout year heads into a busy autumn with the keyboardist announcing the October 9 release of Black Radio Recovered: The Remix EP. The 6-track EP, which was produced by Glasper, features remixes and previously unreleased tracks from his acclaimed album, Black Radio. The Robert Glasper Experiment covers the Little Dragon song “Twice,” remixed by ?uestlove. Also included is “Dillatude #2,” the Experiment’s tribute to the late, great hip hop producer J Dilla which is a previously unreleased track from the Black Radio sessions. Remixers also include Glasper himself, as well as 9th Wonder, Georgia Anne Muldrow, and Pete Rock, with additional contributions from rappers Black Milk and Phonte, The Roots band, and vocalist Solange Knowles.

I can't wait to pick this up! The samples sound really promising.

Okay, I know I'm a little late, but I did go see The Robert Glasper Experiment last Thursday on the 11th and must I say HOT HOT HOT!!! Loved the show tremendously!!! Robert Glasper is a funny cat too, you can tell he knows how to have fun and play with the crowd. Extremely talented..nod I see they have a new drummer, Mark Colenburg but I think that he's in the band for good and that Chris Dave is no longer with the Experiment. Though I've seen Chris' work on Youtube and a huge fan, Mark is JUST AS GOOD, no lie. He really did his thing. Casey Benjamin was excellent as well as Derrick Hodge. They were on stage for a good hour and 45 minutes, then came back on stage for an encore and performed another 15-20 minutes. Money was well spent, I'd definitely go to see them again. nod

The set list (from my memory, so I may be leaving some tracks out):

Dillatude

Smells Like Teen Spirit

Ah Yeah

Cherish the Day

The Light

Gonna Be Alright

A Love Supreme

Encore:

All Matter (plus two other songs but my memory fails me, sorry confused )

I had a great time, it was a great crowd and one of the best concerts I've been to in a long time. nod

worship

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
