Chris Brown tested positive for marijuana recently in Virginia, where smoking weed is illegal, but the judge said she would NOT revoke his probation.

Chris was just in court for a probation progress report hearing in his felony battery of Rihanna -- and according to probation report docs ... Brown failed a drug test on June 18 in Virginia, where he was fulfilling his court ordered community service.

According to probation report, Chris told his probation officer he had smoked weed in California -- where he has a medical marijuana prescription -- and then failed the test in Virginia, where weed is illegal ... prescription or no prescription.

Judge Patricia Schnegg said she never ordered Brown to undergo mandatory drug testing as part of his probation, so she cut him a break ... this time ... letting him off with a stern reminder to obey all laws.


Schnegg also ordered Brown's entire case moved back to California because that's where he lives now.

Judge Schnegg also ordered Brown to meet with his probation officer within 72 hours to sort out a discrepancy in community service hours -- prosecutors say he had 121 hours left to complete as of August 15th, but Chris' attorney, Mark Geragos insists he has less than that on his tab.

sorry but it's dumb to live there if it's illegal for him to smoke weed, and this is news to me too that weed is connected to rihanna....I really don't condone what he did to her and how he behaves, but now I really believe he's being targetted by everyone cause it's too easy and they need to lay off him...and he needs an intervention.

yeah he really did and I'm not a fan of his, definitely a hot mess but he keeps getting himself into situations and isn't doing anything to fix them

Damn he got off here in VA? That is a great shocker. They usually throw the book at you if you piss the wrong way here. I don't know what's up with this dude though. I'm not a fan but was rooting for him when it SEEMED like he was turning his life around. Now it just seems like he's on this uncontrollable merry-go-round towards disaster. Reminds me of that evil clown in Stephen King's "It".

Well sorry but at some point HE has to take the blame, interventions dont work, the person has to want it, Lionel Richie got involved when Nicole had issues, BUT it wasnt till she walked into that rehab and clinics and got the help herself did it work.

Now i dont believe in people going to jail for doing drugs, thats like using an ARMY to fight terrorism, STUPID (oh wait we do that), But Robert Downey Jr was bascially the only one that got slapped with prison and never harmed anyone, struck anyone, had a club fight etc...and he did almost 2 years, as Robert Downey said soo after release, "when i think about doing drugs again.....three words come up.....SMELL THE CELL" Chris may need that now to wake him up.

The thing is, people continue to give this jerk a break! He tested positive for a substance that is illegal in that state, and the judge chooses not to revoke his probation? What does that tell you? He MUST have an angel with pretty big wings, watching over him...

yes I do believe he should take responsibility too though I also agree with you that going to jail for prescribed medical marijuana would have been ridiculous though getting hooked is not good news anyway, I myself don't even know if he has remorse for how he acted towards rihanna or not, but there is no excuse for hitting a woman and injuring her the way he did, even if she upset him (I don't remember all the details so forgive me if I'm wrong)

it's just that the other day some site was promoting blocking topics they don't want coming up and how that feature will be coming out soon, and they used chris brown as an example, I just saw that as lynching cause it was convenient for them, I'm not a fan of his but saw what they were doing, which is why I said what I initally did in my first post

He must have great connections because VA isn't that lenient.

For the marijuana or hitting Rihanna, because Joe Blow wouldn't of done a day for hitting her, especially if she was sympathetic.

There's no telling if he smoked it in Virginia. THC can stay in your system for up to a month.

His brain is addled enough as it is though.
