So even though HE says he is a hetereosexal male... you are still going to call him gay because that is what YOU think
Very childish reasoning.
He isnt gay. He was married twice and had a child that passed. How someone looks doesnt have anything to do with their sexuality especially if they have proclaimed their own sexuality. I say FUCK what you think.
Hey, don't get mad because I gave the man a compliment.
I am not mad at anything . I just feel sorry for you because your beyond ignorant. |

One of my fav artists of all time and Queen certainly gets much love here in Europe and Latin America. Freddie is always either second or first place on the best vocalist of all time, so I dont understand how people say he hasnt gotten his due? Who cares if he didnt win grammys and shit, he's still a legend that many musicians and artists look up to. Even in recent years he gets appreciated, with crappy artists like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga who cite him as a huge influence, so Freddies musical legacy aint going nowhere anytime soon (just mentioning them because they're known artists at the moment).
I think that since the rock world has always portrayed itself as macho and anti homosexual, it's no surprise that they don't view Freddie as equal to Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Bono and so on because he was a proud gay man and sang a about gay love, like Good Oldfashioned Lover boy. Queen was also viewed in certain parts of europe as "intellectual/rich/middle class" music when they came out, because in the time period everyone was into the dirty punk image/rebel/hippie/political type of thing. But I really think that Queen is respected, I've never heard anything bad unless it's some type of hater. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix |

I think you've got that backwards. No smart person gets insulted by compliments. Andy is a four letter word. |

Yeah I don't get it either. The dude already proved to the world (U.S. included) that he was a great frontman, great vocalist, great songwriter, etc. He's got enough recognition in my eyes to be viewed as one of the greatest and upon his 1991 death, he was enshrined as such. And Queen itself was already enshrined as a great band entirely. Unless people think Queen deserves some Kennedy Center Honor like Led Zeppelin or something... |

I guess some people want them to be famous like the stones or the beatles (I would argue they're in that league of fame tho)? Or like you said get honors like Led Zeppelin. I think at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. There are other lead singers that don't get their due, Freddie is not one of them. I think that Brian is an underrated guitarist, but that's it. They've sold over 150-200 million albums and are among the most famous bands in the world. Enough said lol.
