It seems with technology being so advanced these days, (the internet, facebook, twitter, etc) it seems that a lot so called artists are truly extending their 15 minutes of fame. Had they come out in the 80s, I doubt they'd still be around. They really should have been 1 hit wonders. I'll just get the ball rolling but please feel free to jump in....

Well the thing is now with social media and nonsense like TMZ and everyone is a star for doing NOTHING and when tv shows score HUGE ratings when they give away conctracts and careers to undeserving people, this is what you get. Also alot of artists OVERSTAYING the welcome arent even music artists, to be honest Selena Gomez is an actress who dabbles in music, Maroon 5 lost their cred (well they nevver had it with me) because their lead singer is so far in front of his band why bother calling it a band, plus he seems to dabble in music also. As for the rest, like Flo-Rida and Gym Class Hereos and LMFAO they have so little output they arent artists to me, and Katy Perry, well what does she haave 2 albums? 3 i forget, but the issue that the gap between records is huge and that to me is why we get sick of her.

Because music makes no money at all, very rarely for artists, they all tend to do other things and then dabble in music. All on your list qualify as Non-Artists to me. And new artists all have this thing that they are selling "their brand" which if i hear that term again im going to go nuts, i mean a BRAND, are you a music artist or a box of cereal

Katy Perry, well what does she haave 2 albums? 3 i forget, but the issue that the gap between records is huge and that to me is why we get sick of her.

I don't think the Kate Perry part adds up. If there are long gaps between her records then that would mean she isn't exposed so much and doesn't really give a reason for people to be sick of her. I'm not fond of her simply because her music isn't too my taste.

I like when an artist released a lot of singles in a year... and can continue to make new albums every year or 2 years(Like Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, ) But got damn those artists let the singles breath

Since feb Nicki released 6 solo singles from her album... only 2 made the top 40 cause she does though.. and then she has been on shit for Lil Wayne, Dj so & so, she just did a remix of Alicia Keys new song, just did a new B.O.B songreleased 2 week's ago.

I almost corrected you because there was some confusion about Roman Reloaded being a re-release of something else ("Reloaded") but no it was a new album and it did already have a deluxe edition upon initial release, and is now getting a "Re-up". From the trash that was on Roman Reloaded, she can keep her extra shit.
