Stymie's Old Skool Wish List

Hey guys, I was just wondering what some of your favorite old skool joints are. The ones that aren't mainstream. The ones you and your family dug when listening to them in the basement. I have a lot of stuff on CD and vinyl, but my collection is missing a few things. Here are some of the ones that come immediately to mind that I wish I had:

1. Ain't No Need Of Crying-Rance Allen Group
2. Party Lites-Slave
3. I Get Lifted-K.C. and the Sunshine Band
4. Voices Inside My Head-The Police
5. State Farm-Yaz
6. Out in the Night-Serge
7. Try Jai Love-Third World
8. Thinking About You-Skipworth & Turner
9. Thinking About You-Whitney Houston & Kashif
10.Is This The Best-L.A. Boppers

A lot of these songs I have never heard of! I can't wait to try to find some of them. Number one is mad cool and I also love Imaginary Playmates by them. Number ten is the bomb. My favorite Alex, Baby track next to this and Fake is The Lovers. Oh my goodness!

Great thread!
these tunes bring back memories 4 me.
My brother was an illegal radio DJ in the early 80´s.
There was only 3 legal radiostations in Sweden back then
so my bro´ & his friends built their own radiotransmitter
& went on the air with the show Radio Break.
Eventually the cops located the transmitter but they only
found a tape rolling.
The penalty of broadcasting illegaly at that time in
Sweden was equal 2 manslaughter.pretty sick,huh?
The radiotransmitter was confiscated by the cops
& Radio Break was dead. But this could B a typical setlist
& that´s the music I grow up on & makes me feel really
good whenever I hear it.

1.Work that sucker to death-Xavier
2.AM/FM-Natasha King
3.Super lady-Luther Vandross
4.Rhythm of the night-De Barge
5.Just a touch of love-Slave
6.Be alright-Zapp
7.Landlord-Gladys Knight
8.Haboglabotribin´-Bernard Wright
9.Down on the street-Shakatak
10.Beat Street Breakdown-Melle Mel & the Furious Five
11.Ain´t nobody-Chaka Khan
12.The look in your eyes-Maze

Great thread!
these tunes bring back memories 4 me.
My brother was an illegal radio DJ in the early 80´s.
There was only 3 legal radiostations in Sweden back then
so my bro´ & his friends built their own radiotransmitter
& went on the air with the show Radio Break.
Eventually the cops located the transmitter but they only
found a tape rolling.
The penalty of broadcasting illegaly at that time in
Sweden was equal 2 manslaughter.pretty sick,huh?
The radiotransmitter was confiscated by the cops
& Radio Break was dead. But this could B a typical setlist
& that´s the music I grow up on & makes me feel really
good whenever I hear it.

1.Work that sucker to death-Xavier
2.AM/FM-Natasha King
3.Super lady-Luther Vandross
4.Rhythm of the night-De Barge
5.Just a touch of love-Slave
6.Be alright-Zapp
