Anthony David 4evermore featuring Algebra and phonte.
It doesn't get heavy airplay. I first saw it on Bounce TV's top ten countdown.
I also like his new song Sweet Pain.

Great R&B is over unfortunately
that great melody was borned out of the spirituals
and now over the past 25 years, culture has been homogenized into a structure which has exploited it right out the root
so as of now, we don't have a culture to build on anymore even when we think we do [Edited 11/16/12 21:44pm]

There's not a lot of R&B played on the radio channels I listen to, but there are a couple of DJ's that play some great new stuff in that genre. These two songs are no major radio hits, but I've heard them on the radio in the last few weeks. Jose James - It's All Over Your Body Cody ChesnuTT - That's Still Mama "Life's an elevator, it goes up and down. Life's an elevator can't you dig the sound?" -Marc Bolan

If you must limit yourself to mainstream radio artists, I'd recommend these...
Daley - Alone Together ft. Marsha Ambrosius
Miguel - Adorn
Elle Varner - Refill If you will, so will I

OP nobody told you?
R&B has been dead for over 2 decades and every single music act from the last 2 decade is awful.
You're better off just listening to old music.

Amen on this day......
what you said was all true
as culture became homogenized, real r&b (born out of the spirituals) became eviscerated over time because real r&b spoke on liberation of mind and conscious
as the pop ascension movement took reign during the late 80s, r&b it became a demographic (late 80’s), it became formula driven (early 90’s), it became a derivative (mid 90’s), and then it became a sub-culture (neo-soul in the late 90’s), before it gave way to anything or anyone who would incorporate into their existence (the beginning of new millennium), before eventually falling off the face of the earth (as of right now).
