Again, what happened with Brownstone? Does Keke really have a 6 octave voice?

According to her, she actually did stab him in self defense because he was physically abusive towards her. So there was a reason.

Also, there really isn't that much drama, that is if you count the type of drama that is on the Basketball Wives and Real Housewives show.

KeKe isn't the one causing any conflict between the ladies, it's actually Nicci from Brownstone doing that. She's a real annoying bitch and you can clearly tell why the group (Brownstone) broke up. The woman can still sing her ass off but she's always talking about how she has lost her passion in singing...okay if that was the case then why agree to do the show and the album (the whole purpose of the show)??? She makes no damn sense whatsoever and I don't have patience with women like that.

Back to KeKe, yes she definitely has issues and owns it. She knows she has a problem, especially with extremely low self-esteem. That's the thing that irks me the most about her, how the hell can you be married to someone when you don't even love yourself? Don't you have to love yourself before loving anyone else? Then she got a billion and one kids on top of that. IMO her husband doesn't really help the situation because he does EVERYTHING SHE SAYS. She's stated that she doesn't trust men at all..PERIOD. I don't know a man who would stick around knowing that because of his woman's past issues with men that she doesn't trust him. That's pretty unfair....however, he's still there tagging along to EVERY SINGLE EVENT she has which I find to be over the top and ridiculous. I couldn't have no guy up under me like that 24/7.

Anyway, the show isn't the best on, but it's not filled with unnecessary drama either so it's not a pain to watch. I do like Faith Evans, Syleena Johnson and Monifah.

My other post didn't print out, but reading yours, you basically just saved me from going back to re-type it lol

I will say that the one thing that draws me into the show is that I love watching the ladies sing, even when it's informally. It's some SICK talent amongst this group of women, and every time I hear one of them bust a note I just scratch my head confused (or maybe just mad lol ), trying to understand how in the hell do we have all these auto-tuned, non-sangin', non-talented, 8 count dancin' puppets ruling the music airwaves today??? Where in the hell did we all go wrong with not giving props & praise to people with real talent in the music industry? Just think of it, only 20 years ago, people were on the radio who could actually sing. In the last 15 years I ain't never heard NOBODY on the radio do what Keke Wyatt could do, 72hours after having a baby, riffing off the cuff with six damn octaves and never had a vocal coach in her life hmm

Yes the scene with them singing at the end of the baby shower was very much a breath of fresh air. Their voices all blended together and was so beautiful. Clearly, all five of the ladies voices are still strong and able to hold an album. I thought it was pretty cool how Syleena and Monifah came together in writing that song just like that. I was kind of shocked how Nicci acted a complete ass (and then wanted to play victim like she was being left out when it was really just her stank attitude doing it), but that's neither here nor there. shrug

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I believe the first thing that happened with Brownstone after their debut

was released was that one of the girls Mimi had a minor illness and had

to leave the group and that's when the girl that script speak of joined.

It seemed like Mimi came back and joined the group for a brief period

but i'm not to sure. I do know the girl that replaced her did a solo project.

Rumor was that Mimi had a minor illness but it turned out that she just didn't get along with the other two members (Nicci and Maxine).

Chile, we don't know what happened with Brownstone. They broke up. It was the 90's. Lots of girl groups came and went back then never to be heard from again with no one really caring. We'll have to Google it later and see what we can find out if anyone actually cared enough to document what led to/took place during their demise lol

As for "Krazy Ke-Ke" ,6 octaves? Likely not (it's just physically out of this world to be able to produce that range of sound from the human body, but in the case of some of the world's greatest opera singers in the last coupla centuries- is kinda possible lol ) That's just what she threw about during the last episode during one of her talking head interviews lol . Still from the few youtube clips me and my other half (a pianist) watched- she def. has 5 octaves down pretty easy. She's so on point it's pretty much like Keke can burp with perfect pitch if she wanted to, and could probably record music mid-delivery of a baby and not miss timing nor a note in between pushing lol Her voice really is a rather astounding instrument. She's one of those kinda singers that make you have "stinkface"- where when you hear them live- you twist and contort your facial features all over the place as a reflex to what their voice does- but in a good way smile

Okay, while I was being silly earlier talking about Keke being able to burp on pitch and sing for her life on the delivery table, I tell you, this heffa right here...

Yeah Mimi had beef with Nicci and Maxine and Mimi opted out of the group at the end of promotion for From the Bottom Up. Kina (who later ventured into rock music after Brownstone broke up completely) joined shortly afterwards. From the videos done for their second album (particularly "Five Miles"), Nicci carries herself very thuggish...

I wonder if is the reason Mimi left because Nicci had a bossy spirit.

The positive thing is, she seems to try to get help- from looking at the preview for next week. Nicci Gilbert needs to see somebody too, she has some control issues too. That's why Big Jim told his vocal coach- "that's what happens to a career-an attitude like that."

I want to know what turned her off from singing. She basically hates to sing now.

I wonder if Big-Jim said the SAME thing about his old Boss Mo'nique? You remember he use to be the Musical Director of her BET late-night talk show. BET originally signed Mo'nique with a Multi-Million dollar contract deal a FIRST in the Networks history. Mo wanted mo-money after season 2 and BET hit her with that same Skillet she swung @ Precious and everybody had to pack their bags and leave the studio...

I'm glad he's got a gig with this reality show...I havent seen the show but I'm gonna set it up on my DVR and check it out....

lol ooooh that's what happened with Mo. I was wondering what "really" happened with her and BET. I remember Big Jim was her musical director. tonight he and Nicci made up.

She sure does. That scene with Big Jim talking to the other guy about Nicci had me at eek because he basically said what I was thinking. lol Nicci's definitely got a chip on her shoulder regarding singing that's obviously coming from whatever she experienced in the past, but now she's all quick to be defensive and not willing to compromise. She really needs to get a handle on why and what caused her passion for singing to leave in the first place before she can move forward.

And it looks ike she's gonna be back at it again next week- yelling at folks! They gonna get enough of her yelling at them.

I watched it online today when I got home. After last week's intervention they finally got Keke out of the house without her husband, and she admitted as much as it was a new thing for her, she liked being out and having a good time. She was like,

"I do miss my husband neutral

But I'm having FUN excited !!! "

It was cute lol
