Massive Attack - Blue Lines Reissue

Massive Attack‘s 1991 debut Blue Lines will be reissued on 19 November 2012. The group have announced via their Facebook page that the album has been “rebuilt from the original tapes, remixed and remastered”.

This 2012 remix and remaster will be available on a single CD format, standard and high resolution digital downloads, and as a Deluxe Box which will contain the CD, DVD with 96K/24 bit high resolution audio files, the album split over two 180g vinyl LPs and the original 24” x 18” Blue Lines promo poster. Both formats will be packaged in 5” and 12” card mailers, respectively, with the album’s artwork screen-printed per the original release.

This reissue contains no bonus tracks.

Thank you for posting. Looks like a tasty product. Nothing so far on their official site about this yet.

I'm tempted by this, it's a fantastic album.

I played this album for months when it was released...but no remixes? No nothing?

They had some nice remixes at the time.

I actually like this one better than the original:

I love Blue Lines, not sure I would get this without any bonus tracks/remixes. I don't usually sit around watching music videos, too busy

This isn't from Blue Lines but great example of remix

Why not include fan favorite "Any Love"?

Either the original from 1988.. or the re-recorded version on the b-side of Daydreaming

Yeah for an album that had no shortage of extra versions, I am confused by the choice to not compile them to a secondary deluxe disc. hmmm

Didn't Mad Professor remix a whole album of Massive? All dub remixes?

Yes he remixed their second album "Protection." The remix version was titled "No Protection."
