Does my heart good to see a black WOMAN in the midst of old stuffy white men.
Say what you want about Oprah, but she worked her ass off to get where she is. And you can't say it was her looks.

"what's that book where they're all behind the wardrobe?"

Who's the woman sitting down playing footsies with the old man on the far right of the Forbes photo? "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

That's certainly a rather extravagant statement.

The Queen Of Talk Is Still On Top And Letting It Be Known–Oprah Is Making OWN A Major Hit![img:$uid]http://pic80.picturetrail.com:80/VOL2084/9118410/23615037/395128239.jpg[/img:$uid]
It is a business people and Auntie Oprah clearly knows what she is doing and things are looking up for her network in a big way fast! She has landed some hot interviews and even sat down with people that she might not ever would have prior, but it has worked and proven to be a huge step in the right direction! Things are looking up for Oprah’s struggling OWN. According to the latest reports, the premiere of “Iyanla: Fix My Life,” ratings have been steadily climbing. Other returning programming like “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” and “Oprah’s Next Chapter” featuring the Usher interview brought in millions of viewers. According to ratings, OWN’s weekend premieres took the network to be No. 1 among all broadcast and cable channels in key African American demographics. It looks like they know what they’re doing this time around. With the growing ratings and hot premieres, OWN is ranked top 5 for ad-supported cable networks on Saturday and Sunday night. Just earlier this year, we weren’t sure if OWN would be able to keep the lights on much longer.
Congrats Oprah. And maybe we should ask if BET and TV One should be concerned?

Back to the topic... After prayerful contemplation...Tameka Raymond sits down with Entertainment Tonight (to air next week). Mother to Mother, ET's Nancy Odell interviews the grieving mother. This is not about bashing Usher. She says openly...She truly loved him and would LOVE to co-parent with him. Breaking her silence is LONG OVERDUE. There are two sides to every story. You heard his, now hear hers. Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman
