Anyone looking forward to the new Green Day? I'm not their biggest fan by any stretch. In fact I don't own any of their albums but after seeing them perform on the VMA's I'm thinking of checking out Uno! I guess this would be filed under guilty pleasure. I can't take them seriously as a punk band but they have some great pop melodies and songs. I've heard a few snippets from their forthcoming trilogy and I was impressed. Some sounds kind of rockabily which I think is a good sound for them. [Edited 9/11/12 11:05am]

I still have my "Dookie" cassette! The new one sounds interesting so far. I liked their VMA performance (they should have closed the show) and their set at the Reading Festival was good, too! It took me a little while to get into "Oh Love", but I like it now. Their other new one, "Kill The DJ" reminds me of the Clash and has a ska feel to it. I might have to buy this when it comes out...

I think Guns worked on one of their new videos. Was it this one?

That is the one, i worked PA on this one.
There is supposed to be an uncut version coming out soon to, the suicide girls in the video where very naked no blurs on set
The video came out ok, it's nothing great just not a lot going on in it. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

i am not their biggest fan either i only have a few albums, but i thought they stole the show at reading, i posted on here about their surprise gig which to my mind made most of the other acts look quite poor by comparison.
