I always wanted to hear Randy's planned solo album from 1980. I wonder how many tunes he recorded for it? PRINCE: Always and Forever

My favorite track on this album. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

The original version of ONE MORE CHANCE
Randy Jackson was a great musician and first rate rhythm arranger, working with Michael Jackson in crafting arrangements for his debut adult solo album OFF THE WALL, which is the best album Michael did right out the box for he himself said that was his best album and favorite album to have worked on........
Michael "re-did" this song to, just as Janet did a remake
Michael scaled down this song, removing the r&b element, and transformed it into a pop record when he released his version of ONE MORE CHANCE in 2003
there used to be a time where the entire family was given appreciate for their musical contribution
I'm glad to have been born during the time where I could witness this firsthand
when it was more of the rule than the exception

Yeah, you're right. It doesn't. It doesn't even have Randy's (or Michael's) writing credit, as that song was written by R Kelly, but Scorp never let's reality or facts get in the way of his opinions.
And yeah, while I do like Randy's version, I prefer Janet's version. She took it to the next level. I love it. [Edited 9/8/12 17:18pm]

I do agree that Randy was a very talented musician and arranger, but had he been on MJS level he would have made his own name producing, arranging, making songs for other artists or for himself. Randy to me musically is one of the most talented in the jacksons family not on MJS level though. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix

Randy Jackson formed his own group RANDY AND THE GYPIES, and released his debut album in 1989, an album his brother Jackie said during a family interview on the Donahue Show was better than the upcoming release by Janet Jackson (Rhythm Nation 1814)
his debut release from that album PERPETRATORS became the #1 requested r&b record in the nation, which indicated that was the #1 r&b song, topping all of the premier r&b artists during that time: Bobby Brown, Al B. Sure, Keith Sweat (whose album "Make It Last Forever" remained on the charts for 2 years), Guy (Teddy Riley), Heavy D & The Boyz, New Edition (Can You Stand The Rain)
by that point, Michael had completed his run with BAD, so Randy achieved that thru his own merit
Randy along w/the rest of the brothers were carving out great careers in their own right, but there was a force that restricted them from extending their careers beyond that point where by 1991, we wouldn't hear from them again for the next 20 years.....

But R Kelly wrote "One More Chance" for Michael...I don't get how you say Michael "re-did" it

Damn, A thread is started about this song every other month I see.
It is a great song though الحيوان النادلة ((((|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|̲̅̅=̲̅̅|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|)))) ...AND THAT'S THE WAY THE "TITTY" MILKS IT!

Idolatry is a sin, directed at no one in particular. Carry on. I'm saying this as a missive because this thread like other Jackson family related threads can become a collosal mess as evidenced by the two Katherine Jackson Missing topics that actually flipped with over 1000 responses, that was anarchy. Be civil at least. [Edited 9/8/12 19:46pm] Jeux Sans Frontiers

I'm referring to the music rather than the lyrics.....
nobody is beyond doing a remake or reconfiguring a song
Michael did a remake for SMILE, but it was done in superb fashion....

Just because a song has the same title doesn't make it the same song. The Jackson 5 also has a song named One More Chance, and it is not related to the other songs. The only song that is the same is the Victory album song and Janet's remake. Here's some other songs called One More Chance: You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Yes, but that was a remake of Smile. One More Chance is not the same song that Randy wrote. It's a completely different song that R Kelly wrote for Michael.
