Dr. Dre is Forbes’ New ‘Hip-Hop Cash King’

*Dr. Dre has out-earned Sean “Diddy” Combs and Shawn “Jay Z Carter to land atop Forbes magazine’s Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, with earnings of $110 million in the past year.

The financial haul, made between May, 2011, and May, 2012, was largely from sales of his Beats By Dre headphones. Diddy came in a distant second with $45 million, while Jay Z banked $38 million to land third.

His “Watch The Throne” partner Kanye West was close behind with $35 million.

Lil Wayne placed fifth with $27 million, while his Cash Money Records cohorts Drake, Bryan ‘Baby’ Williams and Nicki Minaj – the only female in the top 10 – all follow in sixth, seventh and eighth position, respectively.

Eminem and Ludacris round out the rest of the top 10.

That is not the only thing that has gotten big with him!!

I think "Detox " is history. He really don't need to put out another album. He has better business sense & can make more being a mogul behind the scenes..Than putting out another album. I think he been giving those tracks to other artist anyway...

Dre need's to stick to producing anywway. Being a fake gangster rapper isn't for him anymoe!

Its nice to see someone else make the list besides overrated Gay Z. Im impressed that he has manage to be the top paying Rapper and is still making money related to music although he hasnt made new material.

Everybody has those beats by dre headphones, it's even in cars now. That was a smart move..
