I just posted that song in the '500 songs you have to hear before you die' thread giggle Such an amazing song both lyrically and vocally. It's such a great song that it's hard for anyone who covers it to take away from how good it really is. I think NYSNC also did a nice job covering this song on their first album but nothing really beats Christopher's original IMHO. biggrin

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

RodeoSchro

I remember when he was the front man for a band called Heather Black and we used to go see him at the Bayway Roller Rink in Baytown, Texas. He was kind of a poor man's Meatloaf. He NEVER played any songs like what were on his albums. It was all hard rock.

Then, when I was in college, we hired him to play a frat party. His song "Sailing" hit big like two weeks before our party and my frat was all excited that he was now famous and he was going to play a concert at our frat house.

But he cancelled. Seems like he had to be on "Good Morning America" or something. The nerve.
