Vanessa Williams- Save The Best For Last

I have been on a dark industrial metal phase this week.. and randomely had a craving for this song lol

This is great 90's R&B-Pop crossover.. to me this is a perfect pop single. Many layers of music, great vocals & harmony. JUst a classic imo cool

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

Producer Keith Thomas was just as good as Walter A, Narada and David Foster back then but he is pretty obscure and forgotten regardless of his work back then (Amy Grant "baby baby" was him too).

Most surprising is that Wendy Waldman co-wrote this. I have one of her 80's albums and its much more earthy then "save the best for last".

From metal this? Boy, talk about a complete 360. lol

Love this song and can remember were I was when I first heard it. Till then I hadn't paid much attention to Ms. William's music, this song changed all that. It's a perfectly written song, in my opinion.

Vanessa is metal as hell headbang

I agree! i actually have never grown tired of this song. It just has a great feel, great lyrics & production by Keith Thomas as thesexof it mentioned.

It seem's Vanessa lost her hold on music though mid 90's afte rcolors of the wind... i think mariah, whitney & janet where kind of taking all the spotlight.

lol lol lol

I don't know some seem to think, "Save The Best For Last" was double edge sword. It was this big hit but yet it pushed Williams into these sappy middle of the road adult contemporary albums/songs. When Willams was very capable of do some funky stuff. I believe the emergence of Mariah, Whitney and Janet psuhed her to the sidelines as well.

I know a lot of critics hate this song but who gives a damn what they think? lol

"They" dogged this song. In fact I went over to iTunes and yep, the "music critic" had something negative to say about this song. Like I said, "damn them". lol
