Songs about Music

Music is what brought all of us here in the first place.

Music is what makes us laugh and cry.

It makes us fell in love and out of it.

It makes us dance.

It takes us to our childhood and remember the ones who are not physically with us anymore.

So sometimes some artists are thankful and write about music...

What are you favorite songs about MUSIC?

"A Praise Chorus" and "Authority Song" by Jimmy Eat World. This album came out my freshman year of college and I played it into the ground. Both songs are about a contagious love of music. The bridge of "Praise Chorus" in particular is one of the my favorite moments in a song ever.

"Our house in the middle of the street
(Crimson and clover, over and over)
Why did we ever meet
Start in my rock and roll fantasy
(Crimson and clover, over and over)
Don't don't don't let's start
(Crimson and clover, over and over)
Why did we ever part
Kick start my rock and roll heart"

I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

The entire Words and Music by Saint Etienne album. It's all about their love of pop music. Even the album cover is a tribute to their musical influences:

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

music Love This!!

Things may always stay the way they are
Still my head looks for a change from time to time
I don't really mean to look that far
Turn on the music
Strike up the music
Let the music change my mind

Now don't I dig the big time rock and roll
To sit in the darkness and be somebody else
A time which after all is under control
Crank out the music
Give me music
Let the music fill the air

My dear friend your head's been sinking like a stone
You must try thinking like a cloud sometime
Just leave a happy side out loud sometime
There's a symphony inside you
There's a thousand things for you to do
So come on

Let a hush fall on the movie crowd
Boy turns to girl and says I love you so
What I hear in here is violins
Give me music, Mr. Music
Let the music be there too
I'll never know what to do
Unless you let the music be there too

You see this man his head's been sinking like a stone
You must try thinking like a cloud sometime
Just leave a happy side out loud sometime
There's a symphony inside you
There's a thousand things for you to do
So come on

Leave a hush fall on the movie crowd
Boy turns to girl and says I love you so (well, you know)
What I hear in here is violins
Strike up the music, lay on the music
Let the music be there too
Let it be there too
