Bad25 is cool, but what we really need is Baby Tonight Deluxe Special Edition
Y'all didn't know? Marlon Jackson's Baby Tonight also turns 25 this year. His single "Don't Go" was held out of the top spot by who else, his little brothers single "Bad."
This was a ten track album and just like Bad, the CD version came with a bonus song "Everyday, Everynight." Marlon wrote, produced and played all the instruments on this album.
He released the single "(Let Your Love Find) The Chosen One" for the Golden Child Soundtrack.

I have this record, but I don't think it needs any special version. I doubt the album is in print in the first place. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |

No. We need that Stevie/J-5 Expanded Edition from Hip-O Select/Motown. Better yet, where are those Motown-era Jermaine reissues?
It looks as if Japan is reissuing one of Jerm's more popular albums this October, in mini-LP format...

We can't have an expaned edition (J5/Stevie) of something that never had an edition to begin with.
If Motown doesn't want to re-release Jermaine's whole catalog, the least they can do is release his Jackson 5 era material. The only J5 era songs to never made the CD world include his B-Side single to That's How Love Goes titled "I Lose My Love In The Big City", his whole 2nd release Come Into My Life save the single "You're In Good Hands" and Jackie's LP save "Love Don't Want To Leave." His debut was on CD for a short time in Japan in 2000 as an expensive import.
Thay can do a 2 disc set of Jermaine (72) and Come Into My Life on one disc and the bonus disc: his unreleased Do Unto Others with Jackie Jackson's LP.
And they can give us a 3rd disc of Tito record he recorded for the Motwn sub label MoWest in 1973 and Marlon's solo material circa 1974. PRINCE: Always and Forever

There was an edition to Marvin's aborted Love Man and they added that with an expanded reissue of In Our Lifetime. Why not a J-5/Stevie expanded disc with rarities and such????
As far as Jerm's whole Motown catalog, they can do something like they've done with the Supremes/David Ruffin/Eddie Kendricks complete album packages. Jerm's set would have two volumes to it, just like David Ruffin's complete album series or even Eddie's.
Jackie's self-titled album from '73 is another one they should strongly consider as well. That one is a hip-hop sampled classic.
