A german classic. Now I'm in the mood for some more german music. Next spin: Dadada by Trio.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I remember seeing this back in high school and going WHAAA...? Like one of those episodes of Maury
Then started clubbing and when I met a few drag performers and started embracing gay culture it was all like ohhh ok
In my raver days a UK producer named MJ Cole put out a killer speed garage-type remix... shame its butchered via DJ mix on YouTube. The melody is something that is hard not to shake to once shoved into your ears. I also loved The Roots take on homegrown! and love the original (somehow missed that until this thread, thanks hatrina!). Try to resist that buildup.

I remember this coming out on the "Breakin' 2" soundtrack my senior year in high school, 1984-1985, and the clubs played it on a nightly basis during my old whoring years of the 1990s as if it was still brand new. Definitely a whoring classic.
