A german classic. Now I'm in the mood for some more german music. Next spin: Dadada by Trio.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I remember seeing this back in high school and going WHAAA...? Like one of those episodes of Maury eek

Then started clubbing and when I met a few drag performers and started embracing gay culture it was all like ohhh ok booty!

In my raver days a UK producer named MJ Cole put out a killer speed garage-type remix... shame its butchered via DJ mix on YouTube. The melody is something that is hard not to shake to once shoved into your ears. I also loved The Roots take on homegrown! and love the original (somehow missed that until this thread, thanks hatrina!). Try to resist that buildup.

Brrreeeeeeeeepappa.

The George Kranz's original is one of the best beats of all time by white folks! biggrin I ranks him up there with Kraftwerk & The Art Of Noise.

I remember this coming out on the "Breakin' 2" soundtrack my senior year in high school, 1984-1985, and the clubs played it on a nightly basis during my old whoring years of the 1990s as if it was still brand new. Definitely a whoring classic.

Andy is a four letter word.
