Whitney Houston’s estate will issue Whitney: Tribute To An Icon, a collection of photos and essays, on Nov. 27, publisher Atria will announce today.

It will be the only officially sanctioned tribute book to the singer, who died on Feb. 11 at age 48 in the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Houston was preparing to perform at legendary music producer and mentor Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy Awards party when she drowned in a hotel bathtub.

Davis is contributing an essay about the singer for the book.

Whitney will include about 130 photographs from twenty-two different photographers, including never-published images and outtakes from iconic shoots.

Among the photographers represented are David LaChapelle, Steven Meisel and Patrick Demarchelier.

Acclaimed music photographer Randee St. Nicholas selected the pictures and former Jive Records Creative Director Jackie Murphy designed the book.

In addition to Davis’ essay, Nicholas and Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and the head of her estate, penned memorials.

The book allow fans to share the “amazing memories that reflect very special moments in the life of the extraordinary Whitney Houston, “Nippy” to her family and also to me,” writes Pat Houston in her essay.

“The photographs serve as a visual timeline of Whitney’s personal style and fashion as well as highlighting her musical milestones,” said Atria Publisher Judith Curr.

Whitney: Tribute To An Icon goes on sale at the end of November for $39.99.
