And it's so easy to sing. And that sax solo is cool. I can air sax it by heart. I know folks got mad that K&TG lost their gritty funk and went pop but their pop years are underrated and they have jams. This is just inbe of their smooth ones.

Feeeeeeeeel-ing the pain

I can't wait for the remaster of the Ladies Night album thumbs up! also,Celebration,Something Special and As One are getting the remastered treatment,as well.

but back to the topic...."Too Hot" takes me right back to the beginning of 1980.It proved that Kool & The Gang were much more than just a 'party band'.James 'JT Taylor' was arguably the best lead singer they ever had.

I agree. They reinvented themselves just in time for the 80s and it really paid off.

Love the song. It makes me a little sad everytime I hear it even though I have nothing personal connected to it. I can just feel it when I listen to it.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Great song.

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

That sax-o-ma-phone solo is dope. So is the trombone solo on "Joanna."

I never cared much for "As One", but it's cool that all of these are being remastered.

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I agree,As One is their weakest 80s album. It was a disappointing followw-up to the excellent Something Special album. In my area, only one song ("Let's Go Dancing (Ooh La La La)") got a decent amount of airplay.
